Our Coaches
John Michael
I’m John Michael—a husband, dad to two college-aged sons, and a National Board-Certified Health & Wellness Coach (NBC
HWC). I help young adults build practical habits and life skills to thrive through big transitions.
After 20+ years leading large sales organizations, I turned to the science of behavior change, earning an M.S. in Lifestyle Health
Sciences & Coaching (UNTHSC) and training with Wellcoaches®. Applying these tools restored my energy, focus, and purpose.
Working with my sons and mentoring students through a non-profit organization, I saw a common gap:
Bright young people facing big demands without the systems to sustain well-being and success.
My mission: Equip students with evidence-based habits, simple routines, and real-world skills that boost health,
confidence, and performance—in college, career, and life.
Parents and students: if a major transition is on the horizon, I’m here to help with clear structure and steady support.
Let’s build a healthier, more successful path forward—together.
My name is John Michael, and I’m the proud husband and father of two young men. I’ve been very blessed to achieve a successful business career that has enabled me to coach and develop talent. As I was balancing my time between raising a family and moving up the corporate ladder, I began to realize that despite the success I was achieving on the surface, my lifestyle was not optimized for long-term success. I was not taking great care of myself physically or mentally and often found myself stressed and anxious.
As I became more self-aware of my shortcomings, I also noticed how others were struggling with their health and well-being. I researched the pillars of a healthy lifestyle and discovered the numerous benefits available if I could just learn how to adopt those pillars consistently. I knew I needed to prioritize self-care and then discovered a graduate program at the University of North Texas Health Science Center in Fort Worth, TX, that focused on Lifestyle Health Science and Coaching. I enrolled in the program and earned a Master of Science degree, becoming certified as a health and well-being coach through Wellcoaches. I continued to train as a coach and earned the esteemed National Board-Certified Health and Wellness Coach distinction.
As I began to practice and implement all that I had learned about the pillars of a healthy life, I recommitted to my faith through daily prayer. Humbling myself and committing to my faith strengthened me in ways greater than I could ever have imagined. I was more energized, aware of my emotions, had improved balance in my life, and found myself more focused and ready to achieve my professional and personal goals.
As the dots were now connected, I discovered how the interconnectedness of spirit, mind, and body profoundly impacts one’s overall health.
I found my one purpose and had clarity in my life.

Helen Evans
Hi, I’m Helen Evans, MS, NBC-HWC—a National Board-Certified Health & Wellness Coach and mom of two thriving young adults. I help older teens and college students navigate the leap from high school to independence with clarity, healthy habits, and confidence.
Across 25+ years in high school counseling, eating disorder treatment, crisis intervention, university teaching, and private practice, I saw smart, capable young people struggle with energy, focus, stress, and follow-through—especially post-pandemic, when resources grew scarce. I also felt that strain myself, which led me to deepen my training in evidence-based behavior change.
I earned a Master of Science in Lifestyle Health Sciences and Coaching (UNT Health Science Center), completed Wellcoaches training, and became a Lifestyle Medicine Coach (ACLM). My coaching is practical, science-backed, and deeply supportive: we build simple, sustainable routines, strengthen self-awareness and motivation, and create weekly wins that add up.
I’m proud to partner with families to help students establish the habits and life skills that drive long-term success in college, career, and beyond.
