Meet Your College Life Coach – John Michael
As a father of two young men in college and an experienced business leader, I’ve seen firsthand how much health, mindset, and daily choices shape long-term success. I created the College Ready, Life Ready program to help young adults build that strong foundation before they’re overwhelmed by classes, campus life, and career decisions.
My coaching is built around three stages: Clarity, Habits, and Sustainable Systems. First, we create clarity around who they are, what they want, and what success looks like for them. Then we build simple, repeatable habits that support their goals. Finally, we design sustainable systems so those habits stick—especially when life gets busy or stressful.
At every stage, we integrate core wellness principles: exercise, nutrition, stress management, sleep, and social connection. I work alongside students to align their daily routines with these pillars of well-being, so they can show up as their best selves in the classroom, on campus, and eventually in the professional world. My goal is to be a relatable guide who understands their world—and a steady voice that helps them turn intentional routines into lifelong success.
Let’s work together.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is a life coach for college students?
A life coach for college students is a structured, goal-focused coaching relationship designed to help 18-24-year-olds navigate the high school-to-college and college-to-career transitions. We work on clarity, career direction, daily habits, wellbeing, and the practical life skills that determine long-term success.
When should I hire a college transition coach for my child?
Ideally before their first semester begins – so they arrive with structure and confidence rather than scrambling to find it mid-semester. The program is also highly effective for college seniors preparing to enter the workforce. Entering the workforce is a big transition that can require you to establish new habits.
How much does college life coaching cost?
We offer 3-month and 6-month programs. Pricing is discussed during your free discovery call so we can match the right program to your student’s needs and timeline. There is no obligation on the call.
Is a college life coach worth it?
For students who struggle with time management, stress, motivation, or finding direction – yes, absolutely. The habits and systems built during this program don’t just help in college. They carry into careers, relationships, and every area of adult life. Families invest because the cost of one lost semester is much higher.
Do you offer life coaching for high school seniors preparing for college?
Yes. Some of our most impactful work happens with high school seniors in the months before they leave for campus. Starting early means your student arrives with habits already in place – not scrambling to build them under the pressure of a full course load.
How long is the program?
We offer two options: 3 months (12 sessions) or 6 months (24 sessions). All sessions are held virtually, one hour each week, at a time that works for your student.
What happens after the program ends?
If your student wants to continue, we offer flexible ongoing coaching – weekly or monthly – to maintain momentum and accountability as they grow.
